Nearly one year ago, Ford announced that it had reached a deal with Tesla that would result in its EV owners being able to access the expansive Supercharger network via a special adapter designed to convert the ports on Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford Mustang Mach-E models from the Combined Charging Standard (CCS) to the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Back in early February, Ford CEO Jim Farley revealed that existing owners would be receiving this new complimentary adapter based on VIN via a registration process, and a few weeks later, the NACS adapter was officially revealed. The ordering system for the new part opened up in late February, but now, some owners are receiving emails stating that the adapter has been delayed.
