A little over a month after it shaved the pricing of the Silverado EV RST First Edition, Chevrolet has announced that production is now underway. Besides the special model, the bowtie brand also offers the fleet-oriented 4WT version.

Based on GM's Ultium Platform, the Chevrolet Silverado EV boasts up to 754 horsepower (765 ps/562 kW) and 785 pound-foot (1,064 Nm) of torque in the range-topping First Edition RST configuration. Choosing the lesser 4WT specification will also get you a dual-motor setup, albeit with a bit less power, rated at 510 hp (517 ps/380 kW) and 615 lb-ft (834 Nm) of torque.

According to the GM-owned car brand, the Silverado EV can travel up to 450 miles (724 km) on a full charge for the 4WT. The lesser 3WT has a 393-mile (632 km) range, and the top-of-the-line grade has a 440-mile (708 km) autonomy. The model's battery, which comes with an 8-year/100,000-mile (160,934 km) warranty, supports DC fast charging up to 350 kW, giving it an estimated 100 miles (161 km) in 10 minutes and 34 miles (55 km) per hour at a 240-volt connection.
