Nissan Motor Co. is recalling 188,302 mid-sized SUVs globally to fix a software problem in the antilock braking system that may lead to an increase in stopping distance, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

The recall covers 100,682 2013-14 Pathfinder models and 52,629 2013 Infiniti JX35 and 2014 QX60 models sold in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam.

The recall also affects SUVs in Canada, Korea, Mexico, China, Russia, Taiwan and elsewhere.
