The first cars will be coming out of the Valmet assembly lines beginning in the last quarter of 2009 with an expected production of 15,000 units in the initial year. Fifty percent of the vehicles will be marketed in North America and the remaining vehicles will stay in Europe. It was in April when Fisker named its first European carrier, Fisker Italia, and earlier this month it selected a second carrier to handle sales in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

In an announcement made at the formalizing of the fresh agreement earlier today, Fisker Automotive CEO Henrik Fisker verified that there were plans in position to employ an American manufacturing location for future versions of the Fisker Karma.
