2009 Jaguar XF recalled twice due to electrical and seatbelts problems

Although Land Rover and Jaguar may currently be Indian-owned, however both brands are finding it difficult to conceal their British origins.

Land Rover’s main vehicle Ranger Rover version was just recalled for a defective driveline, and lately the word is that XF by Jaguar’s has likewise been recalled for two different troubles. In keeping with the UK’s British Leyland and Lucas Electric history, the XF’s first recall is because of problems with its electrical.

XF’s instrument panel is equipped with an audible element for a number of functions, but because of defective wiring, it has a propensity to quite working. Fortunately, the solution is a somewhat simple one and will be applied in a few weeks by Jaguar dealers.

This Is old repackaged news and just new car launch issues. Both simple 15 minute fixes. The electrical dash problem was basically that they had the volume turned up too loud on the signal indicator sound and it was blowing the small emitter. Big freaking deal. Every one wants to jump on the smallest problem with Jag.

250,000 toyotas and Lexus' were recalled last year and there were very few mentions of it. Such a double standard. Oh and by the way they had a big problem with the brakes.

Yes, no company is immune to recalls. Every car company goes through it sooner or later. There is no such thing as a perfect car no matter what the price tag is.

true, but I feel alot more comfortable knowing that my warranty support is through a huge company like Toyota, than one named Tata who took over Jaguar because Ford no longer wanted it.

Can anyone here say with confidence that they expect Tata to either stay committed to Jaguar, letalone survive this auto crisis? I mean, they are the 20th largest auto company, wouldn't that concern you when buying a $60k car with British prestige now built in India?

I love Jags, but even the littlest issue would cause me more concern than before IMHO.

oh and just so you know the seat belt was a clip that kept it from rotating properly and all the cars have now been fixed. This happened 6 months ago.

No need to go up here and defend Jaguar. Jaguar has done a Great Job with the nex XK and XF model I love it. And please stay on the subject where Jaguar is getting recall not Toyota or Lexus.

And the amount of recall Toyota has is minimal compare to the number it sales. It really make you look very insecure or childish to come up and try to defend Jaguar when NO one said anything yet about Jaguar.

JAGUAR BUILDS 60-70,000 WE RECALLED 7,0000
