Take your first glimpse of the updated Kia Cee’d! The car, which features a redesigned bumper with a large air intake and rectangular fog lights, was designed by Peter Schreyer, a man who used to work for the Germans from Audi.

With the changes, the Cee’d is now more in line with Kia’s recent offerings – the Forte and Optima/Magnetis. The same engine offerings will likely be given: for petrol power, there are the 109hp 1.4-liter, 122hp 1.6-liter and 140hp 2.0-liter engines; for diesel, there Kia offers the 115hp 1.6-liter CRDi and 140hp 2.0-liter CRDi engines. Although a stop/start system will only be available on the 1.6 petrol and 1.6 CRDi engines, the rest of the lineup will soon receive it. The Kia Cee’d range will be official unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
