2010 Lincoln MKT First Impressions

The concept version didn't look so droopy, but I guess they wanted to create some emotions with that front end.

Prediction: The front-end styling will be revised/toned-down to look very much like that of the MK-S within 18 months.

It's a great car, I can tell...it's just the looks they haven't got right. I bet you if all of Lincoln's designs looked great, they'd sell like hot cakes.

its an attractive car but for the money there are more interesting options on the market. sorry lincoln

It is Hyundai that is the one whos gone up. Dont blame us for Lincoln spending valuable time (15 years) that they should have been utilizing to make themselves more modern catering to Aging baby boomers.

During those same 15 years Hyundai went from making sh-t buckets to: Accents, Elantras, Sonatas, Azeras, and Genesises. Could you imagine the next 15 years?

Hyundai wont do a Pickup, but KIA will do a Soul Pickup. They want Premium big cars, and Premium small cars. A Hybrid option for every car, and probably something wild for the Genesis/Equus like a diesel as opposed to a hybrid.

1. I can see them Axing the Azera,etc... in favor of moving strong products like the: Accent Sonata and Elantra upmarket, to fit in with the Genesis.

2. I can see them trying out coupe motors in F1 cars.

3. I can see them Sending KIA to Rally sport.

4. I can see the Genesis Platforms as drift cars.

5. I can see KIA going upmarket in 7-12 years as a sporty affordable premium make.

6. I can see them Adding a smaller i20 sized car to their lineups.

7. I think the Borrego and Veracruz will go in favor of a Hyundai Genesis Truck.

8. I think KIA will get a car thats the true successor to the Tiburon.

9. Hyundai/KIA will be the 2nd or 3rd largest make in the world.

10. Hyundai/KIA will expand and see themselves as "Democratizing Luxury." Hyundai will make its new SE Division a Fornt wheel drive M-Division undercutter.

11. KIA will be the undisputed quality and reliablity leader, Hyundai cars with more tech will have a few glitches but we will be 5th place or better.

12. Hyundai/KIA will lead CAFE.

13. Hyundai/KIA will be first or second place for global car safety.

14. Hyundai/KIA will put one or multiple of these brands out of business, or at least out of the American marketplace: FIAT, Chrysler, Mercury, Buick, SAAB, and/or Volvo.

15. KIA will enter NASCAR.

16. Hyundai will be the undisputed largest mass-market Luxury brand on Earth. The World has changed, people who got loans for BMWs wont get laons for them anymore but, they can get a nice little Luxury Accent, or a Sonata, or an Elantra.

lincoln needs to bring back the continental with suicide doors and go back to their roots. that car would be a hit and get people in their damn showrooms, not these cars with Waterfall grills and Microsoft Sync in them lol

At least you dont have to worry about hitting anything cause that grill would just swallow it whole. The interior center console kind of reminds me of a infiniti G.

The good thing I take away from this is Lincoln is trying something less conservative and the quality is up there along with tech to be had. Ford is on a roll, even if this model doesn't float your boat, I like what they are doing.
