After the debut of its latest 2010 Mazda3 Sedan at the LA Auto Show, the carmaker followed it up with the Hatchback version one month later at the Bologna Motor Show. It was reported that the launching of the car in the US in right on schedule for March 2009 with a price tag of $15,050, about $360 above the retiring model.

Both the Sedan and Hatch will be launched together although Mazda is not being too optimistic that sales would go over last year’s 100,000 units sold. Later this month both Canada and Mexico will be receiving the cars in dealerships. The 2.0-liter Mazda i Touring, the most popular spec vehicle, with auto transmission is priced at $18,350. The four-door sport version is priced at $19,550 and the hatch for $20,000. Available also is a $1,200 technology pack that consists of keyless access, push-button start, a full-color navigation system with a small footprint, satellite radio which comes with free service for six months and a perimeter alarm.
