In tandem with its Ford Fusion fraternal twin, the 2010 Mercury Milan, which debuts later today in Los Angeles, receives restyled front and rear ends plus the same powertrain upgrades with the exception of the 3.5-liter V6 in the Fusion Sport model.
Joining the Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner Hybrids Ford is adding a new hybrid model for the 2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan. Based on the new 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (155 horsepower/136 lb.-ft. of torque), 93 kW electric motor, lighter nickel-metal hydride battery, electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission or e-CVT and regenerative brake system, the Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion hybrids can operate up to 47 mph in pure electric mode. City driving range on a single tank of gas is expected to be more than 700 miles.
