After finally edging out his rival and teammate Lewis Hamilton and claiming his first-ever title, Nico Rosberg has now announced his retirement from Formula 1.
The still-reigning champion finished the year with a total of 385 points, whereas Hamilton could only manage 380, however the German was unwilling to commit to another hard-fought season against his teammate, choosing instead of focus on his family and the next chapter in his life.
