Just when you thought that Chrysler gave up on the minivan segment, the same segment that saved the company nearly three decades ago, they decided to introduce new Pacifica. Destiny, or…? The company decided to revive the almost forgotten nameplate which was back in time associated with a swollen up crossover-like vehicle. Fortunately for all of us pretty much the only thing that 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has with its predecessor is its name.
The minivan segment is going to be revived again, and that is definitely thanks to Pacifica which will directly replace Chrysler’s Town & Country as well as Dodge’s Grand Caravan which is slowly being phased out anyway. With the Pacifica, Chrysler decided not to make a base model at all because the entry level version will be offered with a heap of equipment as well as a hi-tech nine-speed automatic gearbox and a 3.6 L V6 petrol engine.
