One of our competitors just published an article talking about this GREAT Black Friday deal at Maserati of Palm Beach on a 2008 Quattroporte dealer demo.
The dealer is offering a $35k discount on the car so the website is talking about what a great deal it is and if you are in the market for one you should jump.
Well, this is EXACTLY why you need to read AutoSpies.com because we not only think these bloggers are WRONG but it also shows their inexperience understanding cars worth over $25k.
They are really good when it comes to Toyota Camry's, etc. but when you're talking about the mid to higher end...not so much.
On the outside this may look like a great deal but if you listen to them and purchase it, we say you'll be underwater by $20k, the SECOND you drive it off the showroom floor.
It's not that it's not a good car, it's that just like most Black Friday shoppers are suspecting, prices will go MUCH lower, the longer you wait.
And in the high end car market, we think we're not even CLOSE to the bottom.
Our guess is that in mid-January that same Maserati demo will be able to be bought for the low 70's.
If you think that it's just going to be bad for the Americans, you've got another thing coming.
It's gonna get ugly for everyone (including us because we rely on ads) in the next 90-180 days.
If you can afford to buy $20k of depreciation, buy the Quattroporte.
But if you really want one for the BEST deal, wait another 30-60 days.
They may be doing 2 for 1 deals by then.
Remember, SPY before you BUY!
