This weeks hottest news is the new EXPECTED City MPG figures on the Chevrolet Volt , a number that GM is touting as 230 mpg city driving.

This number is based upon "development testing using a draft EPA federal fuel economy method." In other words these figures could be different in real life city driving conditions when consumers start getting the car in their hands. A "230 miles per gallon" city figure is quite exciting and is all the buzz in the automotive world today.
