When it comes to cars, I have to say the concept of owning a stripped-out racer and driving it on local roads seems pretty gnarly at first. But, in reality, you have to think of the practical implications.

Will it be even remotely comfortable?

Is your race-going set of wheels even equipped with air conditioning? Let's say you're not so lucky: do the lexan windows open or have a port?

How about noise? Is the vehicle excruciatingly loud? I am not just talking about interior noise, either. I also mean exterior sound. Imagine if your neighbors had to deal with a de-catted V12 on a weekly basis? They'd probably have a dartboard with your image attached.

Well, to really put this concept to the test, footage of a McLaren F1 GTR Longtail was captured in the U.K. As you can see, somehow, this owner has converted a Longtail model for road use. And, boy, it's loud. So loud, it actually scares a women not once, but twice, as she tries to get into her vehicle.

That said, is it AWESOME or AWFUL to drive a street legal McLaren F1 GTR Longtail on the streets?

Make sure to wait untill the driver pulls away...

Insanity, we found this amazing Mclaren F1 GTR Long-tail at a pub in Chertsey whilst trying to use the toilet and what a stop it was! This has been made road legal however still remains similar to the original race spec. In the video it makes a huge amount of sound which can be seen by the reaction of the old lady who is jumped TWICE by the V12 beast as he revved the engine as well as making a big exit by launching the car out of the pub and even making the tyre squeal. Now that the car is road legal I hope we will be able to see it again and film in better quality than the phone footage, anyway thanks for watching!
