If there's one vehicle I wouldn't go out and spend $35,905 on, it's the Acura TL. It's not because it's a bad vehicle. The problem is it just doesn't meet ANY of my qualifiers for a vehicle I'd like to own.
It's styling is "meh" at best, it's interior is too Honda inspired, its drive isn't going to make me yearn to get behind the wheel and its mpg isn't exploding through the roof. And you better believe it doesn't sound all that hot.
BUT there's a ton of Acura loyalists out there that still believe in and love the big "A." And good thing, that's basically all that's keeping Acura in business. Oh, and value buyers. That too.
This is where things get interesting. These chaps based in California, Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE) tend to chop the top off anything their customers bring. And I guess there was an Acura TL fanatic that just wasn't getting enough sun or wind in the hair.
So, NCE did it's job and we're presented with the TL drop top. Sporting a dark red paint job with two gold stripes down the center it's certainly...attention getting.
I could probably write more but I'd probably lose my vision if I kept looking at this thing.
That said, is this Acura TL convertible conversion AWESOME or AWFUL?
