From what Fiat has done with its product line over the past decade, I'm very excited about this merger. In about a decade, I see a very new Chrysler with strong Euro feel and Fiat will have endless channels to bring product here, just as they've wanted for a good while. What a contrast to the morass of decisions Mecedes made during Chryslers merger and rape of the company.

the rwd 166 sounds tasty. my only reservations are that the word "chrysler" is used in this article. i know its new ownership, but i'm weary. VERY curious, but weary.

I love Alfa Romeos! I love the 159/Brera/Spider! As long as it's not too hard to maintain, I'd love to take care of one every single day! (Tired of all those sensitive computer gizmos that are there to take over rather than to just assist).

I can't wait till all the girls go, "Wowww... What is that pretty thang'? Please start talking to me about cars again, pleeeaaaassse!"

What a shame Chrysler is getting used like Renault used AMC to peddle their crap boxes over over? What a Shame that this might do to Chrsyler what Renault did to AMC?

When Americans realize how crappy these cars are, Chrysler is cooked. It maybe ok to have crappy cars like these in Europe where they dont drive as much, but in America a country with 200 mile stretches of desolate interstate in some places its a whole different ball game.

Build quality for FIAT must be the only priority for the first 5 years they come here. Forget design, etc... Build quality must be of utmost importance.

Thay will have to do a mass Hyundai Effort of 15 years ago if they want to survive here.

If you liked Alfa's typically crappy unreliability, you'll LOVE the new ones built by Chrysler's crack team of UAW drones. Just imagine the typical plasticky cheapness of the Dodge Caliber, combined with the amazing electrical fires of the old 164. It's a class action lawyer's wet dream!!!

I dont know, In terms of soft touch points the Caliber has more of them than the PT Does. A shame 2 potentially great cars are styimied by their lackluster powertrains with sh-t reliablity.
