Audi say they will not unveil their all-new turbodiesel R15 LMP1 car until it makes its competitive debut at the Sebring 12 Hours in March.
The successor to the multi-title-winning R10 TDi completed what Audi described as a 'roll-out' at an undisclosed Spanish track before Christmas, with 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours winners Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Rinaldo Capello sharing driving duties.
No photographs or specifications have been released, and there are no plans to do so until March.
"The car ran as planned before Christmas," an Audi spokeswoman told this week's Autosport magazine.
"It was just a roll-out and everything went to plan.
"There will be more tests this month, but the plan is to keep the car a secret until Sebring. There will be no official photographs until the week of the race."
The only confirmed outings for the R15 at present are Sebring and Le Mans, as Audi have pulled out of both the Le Mans Series and the American Le Mans Series.
