We are proud to have successfully released our biggest website upgrade to date. Along with the noticable graphic changes, there are many new features that we would like to outline so that you can become a more active participant with our online community.

1. Our first big change is that we now allow users to submit their own articles for all of AutoSpies.com users to read. You can write a review, post breaking news, upload spy shots, upload full photo galleries, submit a link to an article you found on another site or submit any other type of automotive article you wish to publish. Each month, users who have contributed articles will be eligible for cash and prizes.

2. Our second big change is that we know allow you to vote on articles you find interesting. Logged in users may cast their vote for an article by clicking on the "BOOST IT" graphic located next to the article title. Articles which receive enough votes will be promoted to the homepage where the article will receive the most exposure.

3. Our third upgrade gives logged in users the ability to vote up or vote down another user's comment. If you find a user's comment to be useful, insightful, funny... give them a "BOOST" by clicking on the green icon with the up arrow. If you find a users comment to be flaming, uninsightful, off topic... drop their "BOOST" by clicking on the red icon with the down arrow. Once a comment has dropped enough "BOOST", it will be hidden and only available if you choose to see it by clicking on the "show comment" link.

4. Our fourth upgrade allows registered users to set an "Alert" which is done by clicking on the "My Alerts" link at the top of the site. You choose which word or words you would like to be notified with when a new article is posted. So if you set "BMW" as an alert, any time a new article is posted which contains "BMW" in it, you will be emailed. Do you run a website and want to know when some one submits a link to your site? Enter in your domain name and you will be notified immediately when a new article is submitted that matches your Alerts.

5. Our final upgrade gives registered users a chance to upload an icon which is displayed on all comments they post and in their profile. It's a way to communicate visually be it a photo of a car, a headshot or whatever you can think of(PG-13 of course). To change your icon, first Login then click on the My Profile link at the top of the page. From there you can update your profile and change your icon.
