When it comes to seeing cool stuff in the automotive world, it is hard to beat seeing a massive and varied collection. An example that comes to mind is Jay Leno's fleet.

He has it all.

But, I will say this. The super duper crazy things you'll find reside in each and every automaker's "vault." Every manufacturer that I've heard of has a collection of their wacky concepts, production one offs and even some cherished pieces in their own hidden area.

We've been exposed to Porsche and Mazdas, but it seems that one lucky individual visiting the mothership in Munich got to see something very special. It's the BMW Classic vault. As the company is celebrating its 100 years, it seems that Petrolicious got to peek at some very, very special metal.

It’s no secret that BMW has long since developed a robust Classic center that focuses on restoring heritage models as well as supplying parts to the classic BMW community around the world. What is somewhat of a secret, however, is the massive warehouse it keeps stocked on site with some of the rarest vehicles from the 100 year old company’s history.

I was lucky enough to get a peek at a portion of it, and I have to say: it was a bit like my birthday rolled into christmas, with a cherry on top...
