BMW 335d shows up at the Performance Center
A member of E90post forums, Park2670, has just returned from his BMW Performance Center delivery. Beside the great photos and story that can be found here, he came back with a surprise for all the bimmer fans. He turned into a little spy photographer and managed to get some beautiful shots of a BMW 335d in the great Titanium Silver color.

But here is the interesting part: when he asked for the keys to check out the 3er diesel, he was told that it belongs to another customer who will pick up the car….NEXT WEEK. So now, I’m a little confused, will BMW really release the first diesels next week, keeping it under the table or was he just being given a false information?

Regardless, great photos, great little story and good spirit of observation.

Fantastic. Audi drops the ball again, despite being the diesel powerhouse in Europe...

I wouldn't say Audi the diesel powerhouse in Europe, the majority of A4's sold here are 1.9 and 2.0tdi's which are VW derived. That's not to say they're not good engines, it's just BMW have been making greater strides forward over recent years in consumer diesels.

Audi's Le Mans diesel success hasn't really benefitted the consumer over here in terms of the majority of diesel engine types they sell.

Everyone listen closely about the Diesels coming to the US> They will debut January 17, 2009. Production in the US begins in November of 2008. That is confirmed. I was hoping that the diesels would arrive sooner rather later. Kind of a bummer but it is what it is.

What's the difference between the 335d and the 330d? I thought the 330d was the one being sold in the US?

335d is the twin turbo diesel and will be sold in the US. Also, it will be RWD only since there is not enough space to offer it with the AWD version

Those wheels look terrible.

It's not that I don't like the wheels, but they just don't seem aesthetically compatible with the car's lines.

I'm pumped on te 335d. Now if they can knock off $10 to 15K, I'll consider one.
