We see so many of these articles claiming 'WE make the MOST reliable cars' that claim to be based from outside firms research like JDPower (who buy the way receive HUGE sums of money when manufacturers use their claims/awards/logos) that I think we all assume this is the gospel truth.
But IS it?
What methodology do they use and is it fair across the vehicles they research?
Are there less obvious variables embedded in their research that skew the vote towards certain companies?
And on, and on, and on.
So rather than TRUSTING them, let's do some informal research.
Based ONLY on YOUR personal experience (either your vehicles or close friends who've had issues), who REALLY makes the most unreliable vehicles?
Please tell us not only the manufacturer but also the actual models that are rolling pieces of citrus fruit, what issues you've had and how they were resolved or not.
