they should have named BMW 3 coupe, not the sedan. even to this day, i think the E46 sedan looks far more impressive than the E90

I agree with most of them... but naturally there are some cars I feel missing, and some that I feel shouldn't be there at all.

Screwy list.
I'd drop the Z8, TT and Nano and inserted Supra TT, Corvette and Viper.

The Z8, TT have no following and the Nano is too new. In the case of the TT, the only distinction it has is it was welded together differently. GT-R is may be too new but atleast it can be perceived as a continuation of the Skyline.

Supra TT helped to create a culture of attainable supercar performance.
Corvette is an icon, pure and simple.
Viper is a bad ass version of the Corvette.

I'd toss in the Ford Explorer as well, it basically launched the SUV into the mainstream. Landcruiser would've been in there also but it was too niche to gov't and people who actually needed SUV abilities.

The Ford Mustang has been an American icon since it birth and they left it off the list.

Oh crap, you're right. I thought the Mustang was on the list but I guess I got it and the New Beetle mixed up :P

The new beetle shouldn't be here it the original was still being made 10 years ago.

Well it does say 20 years, that would put it 1989 and newer. The Vette and Mustang started well before then. The list i think will vary depending on what you call iconic. I mean if its the cars everyone knows, or could distinctly identify then they are pretty close.
