Two of this year's most sought after, and rare, vehicles hail from Germany. One is from Porsche, the other from BMW.

As a nod to the way things once were, Porsche built the 911 R as a modern day throwback. That means less aerodynamic tricks, less weight and the biggest motor the company can squeeze into the 911's butt.

The BMW, on the other hand, welcomes modern advancements in automotive engineering with arms wide open. Using a trick water injection system, aerodynamic tricks, less weight and more power, it's the most extreme BMW for sale today. No, it's not coming to the U.S.

That said, what happens when you put both of these on the track together? Could the BMW possibly be better?
