If there is one trend that's beginning to make an appearance on the auto show circuit, it is Mercedes-Benz's recent infatuation with its optional wheels. Now although many manufacturers have a set of optional accessories, these set of wheels are on the risque side. That's because they two-tone black and silver and can be found on the E-Class Coupe, E-Class Wagon and E-Class Convertible. With that said, is Mercedes trying to give its vehicles a more youthful look or is it just getting in line with what customers want these days?**Make sure to stay tuned to AutoSpies.com for the BEST shots from the 2011 Chicago Auto Show2011 Chicago Auto Show Photo Gallery2011 Chicago Auto Show Photo Gallery2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Photo Gallery2012 Fiat 500 Photo Gallery2011 Chrysler 200 and 300 Launch Photo Gallery2012 Pagani Huayra Photo GalleryAutoSpies.com Photo GalleriesIf you want to see your photos running on our homepage photo ticker, be sure to upload your photos on the go by sending them to Mobile@AutoSpies.com Share on Facebook

I admire and respect MB a great deal but this is an abomination. It is out of character and looks awful. — nguyenvuminh (View Profile)

Mercedes designs in general are becoming very overwrought and have lost their German character. Good design should look effortless not heavy handed.— JustaCar (View Profile)

You need to do your homework on Mercedes design...the current E-Class clearly takes design cues from the old W124 E-Class and the W-126 S-Class, the design very much fits in with the history of the company.— Deutschland (View Profile)

I actually think they look AWESOME! Im so used to seeing the same old boring MB rims...Rememeber its all about individuality. Some people love it while others will hate it.But WHY the E-class? I think it should only be for the E-class Coupe and Cabrio. They should have also put them on the new SLK or CLS.— sexlan (View Profile)

I've seen the second wheel design on the road and it looked very good and I agree it looks terrible in this photo...The photo really doesn't do it justice, the contrasts colors don't pop right in photos.— Deutschland (View Profile)
