Perhaps I am trying too hard to bring back Jim Carrey's line from his 1990s flick, The Mask: "That's one SPICY meatball!" But, our friends at Kia have something exciting to share at the upcoming, 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
While some of you may not be so jacked up about a Kia concept, please remind yourselves that Kia has shown us some striking vehicles in concept form in recent years. One of our favorite concepts in recent memory was the Stinger, which was a two-door sports car.
This go around it seems like the company will be using the Soul chassis to imagine an electric all-wheel drive concept. We're curious to see if that means it will be a plug-in hybrid or if the all-wheel drive system will simply use electric motors powered via brake regeneration to send power to all four corners. Either way, color us intrigued.
From the teaser pic the company distributed, it appears that the vehicle will utilize a Soul as its foundation; however, it will be kitted out to handle off-roading. That means you should expect some plastic cladding that can take some punishment as well as some nice sporting touches, like its red trimmed wheels — those look a little Jeep Wrangler Rubicon inspired, no?
As of now, the Korean automaker is remaining relatively mum. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!
