Although we've been seeing a lot of spy photos featuring the all-new BMW X5, it's been clear as mud as to when we'll see its debut. Well, until now, that is.

BMW's head, Harald Krüger, announced this week that the all-new X5 will debut in 2018. While no one has a firm date, all bets are pointing to the Paris Motor Show as the spot for the big reveal.

According to reports, Krüger made it official during the company's Annual General Meeting, which took place this week.

If that wasn't enough good news, the CEO also added a cherry on top: The full-size X7, which everyone is clamoring for, will also kick off production in 2018. This also suggests a 2018 reveal, which would make sense as he described 2018 the year of the "X."


BMW has announced that the new fourth-generation X5 will be revealed later this year, likely making its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.

Confirmed by BMW head Harald Krüger at the brand's 98th annual general meeting, it'll be the fourth BMW X model to arrive this year, following the X2, new X3 and X4.
