LOL, you ain't kidding. But make sure you move all the Jeeps off the lot before you do. You can leave all the Compasses though...not a real Jeep.

Let Chrysler go bankrupt and be taken over. Just go to chrysler.com and watch their portfolio of cars - every model is miles behind the competition with its ancient engine, poor safety record, communist styling, shabby handling and famine of technologically advanced systems. When Chrysler began offering their cars in Europe, they automatically started to compete with crappiest Korean/Chinese manufacturers. Just let the ruthless laws of economy kill this company, INFERIOR to competition. Sadly, since there's no justice in this world, top managers of Chrysler and those idiots from Daimler-Benz who lost their chance, will never be punished. Mostly blue collars will suffer.

This is beyond stupidity. Asking the dealers to order cars, and then what? your cars SUCK and no customer is buying them, so how are you going to be saved if the dealers buy your shit but then no one would buy them from the dealers?

I say to Jim Press and those like him, go back to school and learn to be a good person because people like you have destroyed America.

It seems Chrysler is taking a page out of Treasury Secretary Paulsons play book by creating a sense of urgency (when there is none on the part of the dealers, they all have about a 90 day supply) in an attempt to gain leverage (which the big 3 don't have) and spooking the dealers into bailing them out. At this point shipping these cars achieves nothing more than transferring the factory's debt load onto the dealers, who collectively lack the influence the big three have with Congress. The only way something like this would make sense to a dealer is if Chrysler offered some sort of floorplan assistance. Otherwise, survival of the fittest. There always seems to be a few import franchises for sale in just about every city. If the factory goes under, then the dealers would have more than one option than to go down with them.

If that's not the biggest trap if there ever was one. Are they gonna offer 10K rebates and 0% for 72 months to people with sub standard beacon scores? So long Chrysler, it hasn't been nice knowing you.
