Circuit of The Americas has opened volunteer registration for the 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX Nov. 15-17. 2013. The joint venture with the Austin Sports Commission develops regional force of volunteers for various events throughout the area, including Formula 1™. Starting today, a link to the volunteer sign-up page is available on the Circuit’s website at http://circuitoftheamericas.com/volunteer.

“Our strong volunteer force was vital in operating the inaugural Formula 1 race, as well as all other events at our venue,” said Steve Sexton, president and CEO of Circuit of the Americas. “The Sports Commission has been a great partner in developing this recruitment tool. We look forward to bringing back the wonderful volunteers from past events, as well as recruiting new volunteers for what is sure to be an even bigger and better event.”

Volunteer positions are available in two areas: Sustainability and Wayfinding. As a Gold Level Green Business Leader in the City of Austin, sustainability is a priority in the Circuit’s day-to-day operations and business practices. Sustainability volunteers assist with various duties that ensure environmental policies are being met during the event. Wayfinding volunteers work with the Guest Services department to assist guests with questions, directions and general information about the venue.
