Although day one of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show started yesterday at around 6:00 a.m., I find myself still cranking out work at 1:00 a.m. the next day. At least we know one thing, the show was jam packed and full of exciting products.

After last year's show, this is a very welcoming thing to see. Just when we thought the auto show was lying on the floor without a pulse, someone brought along a defibrillator and jolted some life back into this gig.

Starting off with Porsche's 918 racer, you knew the day was going to be filled with some intriguing cars. But one thing we noticed is there doesn't seem to be one genuine surprise this year. Usually someone comes out of right field and brings a car no one knew existed. That doesn't seem to be the case this time around.
