You would think that after unveiling the all-new 2011 Elantra, Hyundai would take some time off and rest. But that's where you are wrong because the marque still has some tricks up its sleeve. Case in point: the 2012 Hyundai Veloster.

This is another car that will be a game changer. Well, we told you so.

One formula that automakers can't seem to figure out is sporty car + fuel efficiency. From today's unveiling at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show though, it appears that Hyundai has an answer with the 2012 Veloster. Let's look at some of the key points about the Veloster:

1) Under $20,000
2) Weighs less than 2,600 pounds
3) 1.6-liter four-cylinder motor with 138 horsepower
4) Six-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch transmission
5) Up to 40 MPG
6) 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty

With all of this said, is the 2012 Hyundai Veloster the car that will put a nail in the coffin against all of the competition? Think: does the Veloster do all of the things the Scion tC, Honda CR-Z and Volkswagen Golf wish it could to?
