Infiniti will introduce at least four additional vehicles with new engines and transmissions over the next four years, said the company’s CEO.

Johan de Nysschen told Automotive News that the company will also renew every existing nameplate in its U.S. lineup. The accelerated expansion of the brand’s vehicle and powertrain portfolio is, in part, due to the strategic engine-sharing deal between parent company Nissan and Daimler AG.

The new Infiniti vehicles will help the automaker achieve its goal to become a global top tier luxury brand, de Nysschen said. The first of the new models is the 2014 Infiniti Q50 sports sedan, premiered at the Detroit auto show. is the number one site in the world for Auto Show photos.
