You know, the more I think about it, the more I am coming to believe that the McLaren 650S is one terribly misunderstood car. For some reason, everyone thinks that it must be exactly like the Ferrari 458 Italia to be considered a great car. And, no one seems to genuinely care about its technology aside from geeks like me.
It seems that in this class, it matters more than you think to provide that certain emotional cocktail and market positioning to earn pundits' and buyers' respect.
For me, the choice is obvious though.

If my review didn't paint a clear enough picture, I think our friends from XCAR did a fine job articulating exactly what it is that makes a McLaren special. Considering the brand is now expanding its product lineup and I'd still consider it in its infancy relative to the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini, I think this is definitely insightful.
