As I was cruising around San Diego doing errands today, I thought I'd break the streak of endless turkey leftover meals by grabbing a pizza at Costco.
They always showcase a couple cars at the entrance but they are usually cars like the Chevy Malibu, Toyota Highlander or Kia Sedona.
So imagine my shock today when I saw a 2009 BMW 335i sedan being hawked to the Costco crowd!
The second I saw it, my brain began to fill up with questions like... Has ANYONE ever bought a 335i from a Costco? Or Would you or I go to Costco to buy one versus at a dealer. And does it diminish the brand image and its exclusivity by being displayed there?
In front of a Nordstrom at a high end mall or on a sidewalk in a trendy high trafficked part of town.
I get it.
But right at the front door of a Costco warehouse with shopping carts cruising by it filled with Beefarino (Hopefully you saw that Seinfeld)?
Agent 001 is dazed and confused how someone thought this was a good idea.
What's next?
Come see the first 2009 7-Series at Costco...Free $1.50 Sausage sandwiches for 2-4PM!
By the way, don't the photos from my iPhone suck?
Must use the same lens from the backup camera on my X5. ;)
