FIRST Photos Go LIVE! 00R Gets A Crack At The 2011 BMW 1M

So, when I first heard that I would be attending BMW's launch of the 1M, a part of me wasn't that excited.

I mean could we really call this vehicle an M product or should it have been badged more appropriately the 135is? It still had the N54, twin-turbo powerplant and its Spartan interior wasn't blowing my doors off.

Then the night before the event I started thinking hard about the possibilities of a 1M: "Considering I think the 335is is a gift from God, maybe it won't be so bad after all."

In the bottom of my heart I know BMW works in mysterious ways these days and it has forced me to eat crow once before -- thank you, may I have another, X6M?

As a lover of all-things-boasting four wheels, I made it a duty to go into this as unbiased as possible. This is my story.
