When you buy an Italian supercar, specifically a Ferrari, you're buying a bunch of things.
With Ferrari you're buying into plenty of heritage, sensual bodywork and cars filled with plenty of racing technology is what you get.
Lamborghini, on the other hand, is taking a bit of a different stance though. As you can see with its latest product, the LP700-4 "Aventador," you're essentially buying the closest thing to a jet. Some say that's what supercars are all about, others think its obnoxious.
With that said, it always seems that Lamborghini rolls out its latest models just behind Ferrari. And because there is no snobish dealers to do business with, you can actually get a hold of a Lamborghini without the hassle of "the Ferrari community."
Obviously, this has led to a fiercely competitive exotic car market with Ferrari's design speaking to where it came from while Lamborghini is a more contemporary take.
Taking that into consideration, has Ferrari "lost it" while Lamborghini is becoming the new standard?
