Ferrari S.p.A. announced today that it will seek to idle production and eliminate 9% of it work force. This comes after Maserati a.k.a. sister brand reduced orders for engines.
Ferrari, the most profitable brand of Ferrari S.p.A. is planning to idle its Maranello factory by laying off 600 workers for a week starting May 17. “Even though Ferrari’s margins are very high, they wanted to do better,” said Massimo Vecchio, an automotive analyst at Mediobanca S.p.A. in Milan.
