I can't even imagine what purists, that believe that the only Porsche is an air-cooled one, would think of this. When the Panamera made its blockbuster debut, it was heavily critique by those old timers; however, it went on to be one of the best selling Porsches, ever.
It was one of the vehicles to fiscally save the marque.
But if I were a betting man, I would assume that Porsche never intended for the Panamera to be a limo. Ruf, on the other hand, seems to like the idea as it was showing off a s t r e t c h e d Panamera.
