Although the Citroen Metropolis made its debut at last year's Shanghai World Fair, I am pretty sure it hasn't received the attention it deserves. In a day and age where buyers have expressed a distaste for conservative looks, you have to wonder if Citroen is onto something.

Not only have we taken note of what commenters say about the Audi A8, BMW 7-series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class being "bland," but you have to also look at sales of cars like the Porsche Panamera. That vehicle, although its design is largely considered polarizing, has sold tremendously well for Porsche. Is it because of the Panamera's expressive, stand-out design? OR is it something else?

Most detractors will say that large, luxury sedans are conservatively styled because that's what buyers want. But, is that entirely true?

With that said, we're a bit curious:

Should large, luxury sedans become a bit more edgy like the Citroen Metropolis?
