There are speculations that the 2010 Saab 9-5 might just live on, despite Saab currently being wound down by parent General Motors Co. With millions of dollars in design and R&D work put into the new car, it would have been a terrible waste to see the project go down the drain.

Swedish news source DN said that it’s possible that the new 9-5 will be released as a Buick. The new 9-5 was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt auto show last September. The current 9-5 had just a decade under its belt and a complete overhaul had become necessary.
