The GMC’s Yukon Hybrid range received the long waited 2-Mode Hybrid powertrain and it is ready to hit the road with its new fuel saver technology. The new top level GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid will be powered by a potent 6.0L Vortec V8 engine, capable of 332HP and reaching up to 6,200-pound towing capacity.

The new tech means a 2-Mode Electrically Variable Transmission which includes 2 electric motors, receiving power from a 300volt nickel hybrid battery back. The EPA fuel saving ratings are calculated around 21 city, 22 highway for two-wheel drive models and 20/20 when equipped with 4WD. In terms of new and advanced mechanical adding, the Denali Hybrid is a pioneer in using the GM’s MagnaRide suspension system on the Yukon.
