The road ahead looks slippery for Germany's luxury carmakers, which face deteriorating conditions in their home market and in China.

Demand is starting to flag in Germany as a deepening downturn in southern and western Europe is now weighing on the German economy.

BMW, Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen AG's Audi face weaker demand in China, too, where the gap between growth rates for luxury and mainstream vehicle sales has shrunk significantly.

Too funny! The bubble in China has started to deflate just like what happened here back in 2008. Their real estate is algo going down the toilet, I wonder if they are also going to blame Bush for their stupid decisions?
