A Chinese website has posted two official images of the 2013 Lexus LS a few days in ahead of the world premiere at a special event in San Francisco on Monday.



If these images are indeed genuine it would appear the 2013 LS is a receiving only a minor facelift.with the main styling differences being the signature spindle grille, headlamps, and a new pair of tail lights.



The LS 460 F Sport has been confirmed which includes different front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser and more aggressive tailpipes.



The 2013 LS will be available as the LS 460, LS 460 L long wheelbase, LS 600h L hybrid sedan and the new LS 460 F SPORT model.

We will keep you posted as more details emerge!

the XF40 LS came out in 2006 and was refreshed in 2009. so this would be a second refresh on a 7 year old car. sad.

same engine as 2006 too. and don't even dream of comparing this car to the S-class. drive one and you'll see.

Please, the S-Class will continue to dominate the competition, just as the current generation has. Big Lux Sedans is what Benz does best.

As for the Lexus LS, the Hyundai Equus has already taken a nice bite out of their share of market pie.

From the comments above I can see that the users have no clue about cars. The person above me is the only person with any car knowledge. Gone are the days when you could have an intelligent car coversation on autospies. The current Lexus Ls made it first appearance in 2006 as a 2007 model. Just as the s-class is a new model from the ground up. This design is just so conservative you can mistake it as a refresh.

it is a refresh of a 7 year old car. the second one. same chassis, engine, etc. just new grill, headlights and taillights.

Not bad. Better looking than the MB, BMW, and Audi flagships. But I wouldn't call it "New". looks like a super heavy refresh. I wouldn't be mad if someone picked this over the Germans.

I has a nice face lift, but the LS460 has been out since 2007, and it's been 6 years already, I was expecting a completely new model. I'm disappointed!

Design looks sharper and crisp. Outgoing car's front end styling is one of it's weakest point and Lexus have improved that. New front end looks very aggressive and i like it. Let's see better photos and interior.

Funny how many comments from people that don't own any of these models. Like I have stated before, I would have purchased a S-Class if it wasn't for its astronomical price. I settled for an LS since I received around $7,500 in rebates and incentives for a car with more options ($57K after discounts). I still prefer the S-Class over my LS though, its a classier car. Besides a few minor issues (brakes & rotors, excessive wind noise, dead battery), the LS has been a pretty good car after the abuse it has received. As for it being better looking than the competion, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" my friends.

The current LS was released in 2006 as a 2007 so as a 2013 model this should have been a complete revamp... 7 YRS Not a refresh the front end looks hot and the butt looks like an ES. Would have been nice to see a bigger change. The rear fenders leading into the tail lights looks identical to the older model...

It's so as not to alienate buyers of $80,000 cars who don't want to feel like their cars are obsolete in 4 years. It was the same case between gen 1 and gen2 LSs back in the mid 90s.

These are photoshop created images. If you look at the rear 3/4 view, you can see the digital artifacts around the tail-light assembly as well as the seam between the trunk lid and left quarter panel.
