It certainly does not have the size of Toyota yet it has a very aggressive goal, to top Toyota in 3 years.
Is this even rational?
Well, the product is very similar. The styling may be different but that is subjective. Good reliability is common, although Toyota has been stumbling as of late while Hyundai only trails Toyota's Lexus Division.
So far, so good. But, how about labor costs? This may hold the key to Hyundai's aggressive stance.
