The more I look at what's to come at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) the more excited I am. There's a little bit of something for everyone. And if you haven't gotten to know me a bit over the years I've been contributing to AutoSpies, well, then let me shed some light. I am a sports car guy.

So, I am very happy to hear that the Lamborghini Huracan will be receiving a Spyder variant at IAA.

As you'd expect it will essentially be the same as the coupe, which I recently had the chance to drive. And my, my what a delightful little thing. What will be interesting to see is if Lamborghini sticks to a soft top convertible or goes high tech with a folding metal roof a la the Ferrari 458/488 and McLaren MP4-12C/650S.

It wasn’t one of the industry’s better-kept secrets that Lamborghini planned a successor to the Gallardo Spyder, one which would be based on the still-fresh Huracán LP610-4.
