The Tokyo Auto Salon has just opened its doors in Japan, and as could be expected, it's jam-packed with tuned versions of the Toyobaru sports coupe. But the most comprehensive of the modifications has surely been performed on the concept you see here. Based on the Toyota GT86 (sold in North America as the Scion FR-S), the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum has been treated to a comprehensive re-body at the hands of one of Toyota's official tuning departments.The concept was previewed in the run-up to the show, but has now been fully revealed. No, it's not the new Supra, all it is is a previus gen Supra of some sort with bidy kit..If the new Supra looked like the FT-HS, now that would be good..— mpls (View Profile)

It's not bad looking, but looks every bit a body kit. The makings are there for a Toyota-badged upscale version of the FR-S for the NA market. Being that it's a GT86, it's not big enough to be a Supra, though. — AlleVier (View Profile)

Not usually a big rice fan but this car is sharp with some nice retro features of the supra lineage. The zit-faced boy racer rear wing is so tacky and kills a otherwise attractive package. — thomas (View Profile)
