yes i would! its time for toyota to put out a nice rwd car to go up agains 370/genesis coupe/and other cars in the same niche, and i hope it'd be light too, to at least recover some spirit of the ae86 haha

It depends on if I can fit in the seat, if it can out perform the Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6 track, and if it has a navigation system and a turbocharged engine. So it has to line up a lot of ducks in a row to satisfy my needs/wants/desires.

Does it come with the floor mats already zip tied? I avoid cars with engines from other manufacturers and would thus buy the Subaru version over this. Subaru dealers are going to know this engine inside and out Toyota dealers are going to be confused when they open the hood and the pistons are laying on their sides.

I really wouldn't pay any money for a 4 cylinder "sport" car, this is a Scion with new looks. Toyota needs to bring the Supra back then they can say they have a sport car in their fleet.

I would possibly consider it, but not when given the choice of a 370Z. I think it will be a very good alternative to younger high school and college ages kids who are also considering the Genesis coupe. The Genesis is the car that Toyota would be most successful and tagerting with this car.

It really depends on what engine/transmission they bring it to market with as well as the quality of the interior and whether or not the rear seats fold down. I do like the exterior design.

This car is a hard sell... considering that you can get over 300hp for $25,000 in a genesis coupe and for $22,680 in a Camaro. Or if you go cheaper yet, you can pick up a Mustang with 210hp for $20995. Yet if you buy this Toyota, you are limited to 160hp. It might weigh 500lbs less then the other cars listed, but that isn't enough to make up for half the power.

Hmm.... turbo boxer 4, 6spd manual, small n' light. As long as the interior didn't suck I'd probably bite.

If I were in the market for this class of car, then I would definitely consider, though it doesnt mean I would buy it.

With that said, because I'm not in the market for it, I would not consider it.

I would consider it. Cars like this, and the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky are my kinda sports cars. Very small, with small engines and light weight. However, I would only realy consider it if it had at least one "snail" bolted to the exhaust. Anybody who has never experienced the sound of a turbocharger whistling and sneezing hasn't lived. I'd buy a Corvette too, but that's for a different reason.

It doesnt have the power though, Joe. I wonder if Toyota is trying to create some kind of rear wheel drive Eco Niche.

However, up North nobody would want to drive an RWD coupe that lightweight in snow and ice, even if it got 40 MPG.
