Here we go again.

Yet another unknown manufacturer has come out of nowhere with claims that are quite ambitious; they want to break 300 MPH and hit 60 in a blistering 1.5 seconds.

TranStar Racing is claiming that it can produce the Dagger GT, a hypercar that will boast approximately 2000-horsepower and 2000 lb-ft of torque.

Although it seems confident that this goal will be easy to reach, I do not understand why anyone else has not been able to do so, yet -- assuming that it is that easy.

To say that I am skeptical would be kind.

What do the Spies think?

Are these guys full of sh!t or are they going to crack the three-oh-oh?


This is the Dagger GT, a new US hypercar that its maker claims is capable of more than 300mph.

The Dagger GT is the work TranStar Racing, whose employees consists of former NASA aerodynamicists and the designer of the Saleen S7 Le Mans racer.

Powering the Dagger GT is a twin-turbo aluminium multi-fuel racing engine of an unspecified size.

TranStar hasn’t released official power and performance figures, but it claims it “will not quit” until it tunes the engine to produce 2000bhp and 2000lb ft of torque...
