If I told you a couple of years ago that there would be some seriously hooked up Toyota Avalons about to hit the street, you probably would have said something like "Why would anyone want to drop Grandma's ride?"

But, then again, you probably wouldn't have known that the Toyota Avalon would receive such a dynamic makeover that gives it the appearance of a vehicle of a much more expensive breed. It's a good look.

Now the tuners have gotten a hold of them and some interesting mods have happened. Of course the cars are dropped — I assume via coilovers — equipped with all-new wheels and tires, tinted out and, in some cases, provided with a more youthful interior that's swathed in Alcantara.

All in all, it's a pretty comprehensive set of mods. Do they give the Avalon some street cred or will Toyota need to rebadge its flagship product?
