We're champions of SoCal being one of the world's leading car capitals. Obviously given its climate it's home to a lot of excellent vintage automobiles. If you thought the LA Auto Show was merely for all-new products, well, you thought wrong.

Some particularly interesting vintage examples appeared for your viewing pleasure.

First up was a Volkswagen Bus done up in The Mystery Machine livery. It's pretty clear that this groovy van is actually a retromod — check out the wheel and tire package, as well as the big brake kit. Something's lurking under there!

Next was something I don't recall ever seeing previously. It was a Mazda Cosmo that certainly has a sophisticated, throwback look to it. Is anyone else seeing hints of the Ferrari 250 GT California mixed with the Lotus Elan and the Ford Thunderbird? What a pretty little thing!

Last up, this vehicle needs no introduction. Set up with a variety of Aston Martins thrown into a booth with a James Bond Spectre promotion was a rich blue Aston Martin DB5. Ever since Agent 007 appeared with this Aston, it's been the go-to vehicle if you're a spy looking to take down evil villains.

Enjoy some of the aged metal from the 2015 LA Auto Show!
