2015 brought a host of all-new vehicles to market but one of the more important offerings is the all-new BMW 7-Series. Set to take down the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, it certainly has its work cut out for itself. But that's, more or less, the fun of it all.

While the three-pointed star is off to the races with a standard model, AMGs, a Maybach edition and now a Pullman, BMW is lagging behind with just a 750i. Next up on the punch card though is a V12-equipped variant.

The 760i.

According to a set of leaked screenshots though, it seems that BMW may be ready to step into the ring with an M branded offering: the M760i.

Though I've made it perfectly clear how I have a great distaste for the rather sloppy use of the M brand and how the marketing department has been affixing the performance namesake to any standard BMW, I am hoping this isn't the case here.

The leaked images were pulled from a BMW configurator that folks believe was having a glitch and placing the new nameplate to the wrong vehicles. Anything's possible when technology goes wrong.
